Researchers examined vitamin d intake: a global perspective of current status to understand vitamin D's relationship with multiple sclerosis risk. Systematic scientific analysis examined biological and clinical data relevant to MS. Results demonstrated that adequate vitamin D levels correlate with reduced MS incidence and severity. Vitamin D supports immune regulation and prevents excessive neuroinflammation. These findings have direct clinical relevance for MS patient management and outcomes. The work advances understanding of MS biology and supports development of improved therapies.
